We breed Fantails, Schmalkaldener Moorheads, and Italian Owls.
It seems like we have had pigeons forever.
If it was not for the pigeons some times I don't know what we would have done. They seem to keep us on an even keel.
When times get tough it seems like we can go out to the pigeon coups and forget our problems.

Dennis:
My main breed is fantails. And my wife's main breed is Italian Owls and Schmalkaldener Moorheads.
We show with the Western Fantail Club most of the time. We also travel to out of state shows like the Central Fantail show, and the National Pigeon Ass. shows almost every year.

To the left is a picture of one of my favorite birds. I raised this bird. It is an Almond Cock #WFC1048. This bird has won Champion Almond at quite a few shows.
Almond is probably my favorite color to work with. I think that the reason that I like Almonds so much is because they are beautiful in good color and very challenging.
I am also interested in helping to get new junior members started when possible. This is a fun hobby and has a lot to offer some youngster that wants to get into something that they can do and have some fun with.

Candice:
Hi I am Candice Lawrence, Dennis' better half. I raise Italian Owls and Schmalkaldener Moorheads.
The Italian Owls are a small bird. They are probably the smallest pigeon there is.
I have been showing Schmalkaldener Moorheads for aprox. 4 years and I really enjoy the birds. The shows that I participate in are very exciting for me.
I have mostly Black Schmalkaldener Moorheads, but I have started to raise some blues also. This is something that I would like to change someday. I believe that there can be quite a few different color classes that I would enjoy if I get into them.
I just started raising the Italian Owls and I really enjoy them.
I hope to 1 day raise a Champion. Until then I will keep trying to make them better.

Below is a picture of one of the shows that we attended. This was a really great show and we both had a great time. This show was called the Snowed in Classic and it was held at Bob Vincent's house in Az. There was no snow but there was a lot of Bull#%&$ flowing from all parts of the country.

There were 327 birds entered, 23 color classes, and there were 13 different color class winners among the exhibitors. The Judge for this show was Gene Altpeter.
We usually have a few birds for sale most of the time. If you are interested call or E-mail us and we will get back to you.
